Happy Saturday, everyone! I have got week 12 to share with you today -- it's another 2 page spread, PLUS an insert. (There was a lot going on this week!) Also, I will show you how I have dealt with loss in my Project Life.
My philosophy was simple. To capture things in the most authentic way possible. My Project Life is full of photos and words. There aren't tons of filler cards and very few portrait type photos (they do serve a purpose occasionally), this album is positively capturing our daily life.
Therefore, when my Grandpa died on March 15, to me, it was imperative I include this. This is very important to my story and I really wanted to make sure my Project Life reflected that.
So, you will see a shot of the cemetary as I was so very moved by the military burial and also the grave after everything was said and done. There are shots from my hometown and other photos too (family and sights) -- all of this tells the story of our week.
As you can see, I went with a red, white and blue color scheme to lend itself to the military burial for my Grandpa. However, last week was pink and green with that pink transparency. (I had been planning for this week to be a rainbow -- but flexibility is key!) I'm just rolling with it. It's honestly not that distracting to me.
Our week ended with us all being back together + basketball and a trip to Louisville and the Louisville Slugger Museum.
Here's the insert, the front and the back. It fits quite seamlessly into the spread.
So, there you have it. March 18-24, daily life, travel and loss.
Have a great weekend, and if you celebrate it, a nice Easter!
these are fabulous.. great moments in time.. thanks for sharing
